Growing to Grassroots is a season-long training programme designed for riders who are ready to build confidently towards grassroots level eventing. Running from March through to October, this programme supports you through the full competition season, focusing on correct foundations, thoughtful progression, and producing a confident, capable partnership.

The programme includes a monthly clinic catering to a variety of levels, all with the shared goal of progressing towards grassroots eventing. Riders also receive a private training session at home, allowing for personalised support tailored to you and your horse. To keep momentum between sessions, monthly exercises are provided to practise at home, helping you stay focused, consistent, and progressing with purpose.

As a team, we will work towards two key optional goals during the season: the unaffiliated one-day event at Eland Lodge on 24th May, and the unaffiliated one-day event at Epworth on 26th September. These events provide an exciting focus for training and a chance to experience competition in a supportive, team-based environment. However, participation is never compulsory — riders who are unable to attend or who do not yet feel ready to compete will always remain fully included and supported throughout the programme.

Beyond the training, Growing to Grassroots is about community. Members are invited to exclusive social events throughout the season, featuring special guest speakers, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and share the journey with like-minded riders.

Whether you’re aiming for your first grassroots events or looking to build confidence and consistency at this level, Growing to Grassroots offers structured support, clear goals, and guidance that prioritises both performance and horse welfare — all while keeping the enjoyment of riding at the heart of the experience.
