Per Month (payments spread evenly over 8 months) £120 per month.

Per Month (payments spread evenly over 12 months) £80 per month.

Am I eligible to join the program?

Growing to Grassroots is designed for riders who are interested in eventing, whether you are starting out at unaffiliated level or working towards affiliated competition, with the long-term ambition of Badminton Grassroots.

Ideally, riders will be confidently jumping around 70cm, however this is not a strict requirement. If you have not yet jumped a full course at this height but are working towards it, you may still find this programme a great fit.

The programme also welcomes riders already competing with British Eventing at BE80, BE90, or BE100 who are looking to refine their technique, improve consistency, and become more competitive within the sport.

What if I don’t want to compete, can I still join?

Absolutely! Competing in any discipline is entirely your choice. You can sign up for the program and enjoy the benefits without the pressure of competing.

What’s included?

  • One monthly session at your home yard or a venue of your choice. Any facility/venue hire for your ‘at home’ session is not included in the package, and the responsibility for booking any externals venues is that of the rider’s.

  • One monthly clinic held at various venues across the East Midlands. Every clinic is specially designed to aid you on your journey to Grassroots success!

  • You’ll receive engaging training exercises and floor plans to use at home during your schooling sessions to ensure your progression continues between sessions and clinics.

  • You’ll have access to our exclusive Facebook group. This is a safe space to share your successes and struggles, photos and videos, and be a part of the community we are creating.

  • Team social events will be scheduled throughout the programme. Three of these will be hosted by TT Equine at a local venue and will feature special guest speakers, along with refreshments. Additional eventing-focused social gatherings will also be added to the calendar, giving us plenty of opportunities to come together as a team in a relaxed, supportive, and enjoyable environment.

How do I sign up?
Use the online sign up form, fill in your details and click “Sign me up” - it’s as easy as that!
If you would prefer the sign up form to be emailed or posted to you, please contact me to have this arranged.

How do I pay?

You can pay for your program via bank transfer (standing order is preferred), cash (please contact TT Equine to arrange this), or debit or credit card. All debit and credit card payments incur a 1.69% transaction fee. You may select this option on the sign up form.

Is payment taken on a certain date or every month?
Yes, payment is due by the 1st of each calendar month with the exception of March. As March is our sign up month, payment is due within 3 days of signing up to the program.

What happens if my payment is late?
If a payment is not received on time, a first reminder email will be sent, after which you will have three days to complete payment.

If payment remains outstanding after five days (by the 6th of each calendar month), a second reminder email will be issued. At this point, your programme will be temporarily paused, and any scheduled training sessions will be cancelled until payment is received.

If payment has still not been received by day thirteen (the 14th of the month), your place on the programme will be cancelled, and the matter may be referred for legal action.

If you experience any issues with online banking or anticipate a delay, please contact TT Equine as early as possible so that a leniency policy may be considered.

What if I miss a clinic?
If you are unable to attend a scheduled clinic, you will receive a programme credit. This credit may be used to attend an alternative clinic hosted by TT Equine, or to book an additional private training session at home.

If you would prefer to train specifically at the venue of the missed clinic, this can be arranged in discussion with TT Equine. Please note that an additional surcharge may apply to cover extra costs such as facility hire or travel. Any such costs will be clearly communicated in advance.

What If My Horse Becomes Lame During the Program?

If your horse becomes lame or develops a moderate to severe medical condition, please get in touch with TT Equine as early as possible to pause your program and payments. Any sessions that have been paid for but not yet used will be recorded as program credits.

Once your horse has returned to full health, you may resume the program and use any accumulated credits. A veterinary note confirming your horse is fit to return to full work may be required.

What If I Am Unwell and Unable to Attend a Lesson?

All lessons and clinics must be cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

  • Sessions cancelled with 24 hours or more notice may be rolled over to the following month or rescheduled, subject to availability.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for rollover or rescheduling.

What If TT Equine Has to Cancel a Lesson or Clinic?

While every effort is made to avoid cancellations, occasionally they are unavoidable.

  • If a private at-home lesson is cancelled, it will be rearranged at the earliest mutually convenient time.

  • If a clinic is cancelled, it will either be rearranged or relocated within a reasonable timeframe.

What Heights Will I Be Jumping?

Riders should be confidently jumping around 70cm, even if they have not yet completed a full course at that height. This program is about progression, and each rider’s journey will look different. Whether you feel ready to aim for BE90 this season or prefer to take more time, your development will be supported at an appropriate pace.

How Many Riders Are in Each Session?

  • At-home training sessions are one-to-one, unless you choose to share with another rider on the same program at the same yard.

  • Clinic groups are limited to a maximum of four riders.

What Type of Venues Will Clinics Be Held At?

Planned clinic venues for 2026 may include:

  • Barrowcliffe Cross Country

  • Field Farm Cross Country

  • Eland Lodge Equestrian Centre

  • Willoughby Lodge Farm

  • Somerford Park Equestrian

  • All Ashes Equestrian

Will I Be Grouped With Riders of a Similar Level?

Yes. Riders are grouped according to ability to ensure sessions are appropriate and productive. Occasionally, a rider may be working slightly above the group’s level and will focus on technique and accuracy over smaller fences before progressing to a larger exercise later in the session.

Can Sessions Be Scheduled Around Work and Busy Schedules?

Yes — wherever possible. TT Equine’s current working days are:

  • Tuesday: 10:00am – 5:00pm

  • Wednesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm

  • Friday: 10:00am – 8:00pm

  • Saturday: 8:00am – 8:00pm

Program members receive priority booking each month to help sessions fit around their existing commitments.

Do I Need My Own Insurance?

Yes. Riders must have personal rider insurance, and horses must have at least public liability cover, which is a legal requirement.

What If My Horse or I Are Injured at a Clinic?

Every effort is made to minimise risk; however, horse riding is a risk sport, and accidents can occur. By enrolling in the program, you acknowledge this inherent risk.

If you are injured during a session and believe TT Equine to be liable, you are entitled to request insurance details and proof of qualifications.

How Long Are Lessons and Clinics?

  • Private at-home sessions: 45 minutes

  • Clinic sessions: approximately 1 hour

What Level Does My Horse Need to Be At?

Growing to Grassroots horses should:

  • Have attended a cross-country course at least once

  • Be able to complete an Intro-level dressage test
